The New Neighbor

Working from home is now the new norm. The creatures of the earth seem to be the only ones that can roam the Earth freely, as COVID-19 has called forth a shelter-in-place to occur in Hawaii. Nature has come straight to my front porch as a house sparrow has worked tirelessly to build a nest between the sports and the roofing. Now he sings daily, with great persistence, to find a mate to share his new nest with. I will keep a close eye on this saga as it unfolds.

Halloween Costume

Still making it in the $5 limit. Bought fabric, crafted paint, and ribbon this year. Used the white material from last year's costume. All the rest I found around the house including old nylons, bubble wrap, cardboard, an old luffa, and battery operated lights. and of course, where would I be without the old trusted hot glue gun!

1st prize: a Wok!

Resilience

A staff retreat focusing on resilience. Could not have chosen a better place to see resilience manifesting in our natural surrounds. Just over a year since the eruption ended. Life continues to press through the daunting barriers.
